Finishing point: Your tour guide will drop you off at the departure terminal of Trabzon airport. If you are not flying out of Trabzon airport and would like to nominate another drop off point, please let us know and we will endeavour to make alternative plans for you.

Problems and emergency contact information: Sometimes things can go wrong while travelling despite all our efforts to provide the best experience for you. If you come across any problems during your tour, your first point of contact is your tour guide. Please, discuss the issue with them as soon as possible so they can do their best to resolve the issue and the rest of your trip is not affected. However, if your guide was not able to resolve the issue to your satisfaction, please ask to speak to their manager.

Depending on the nature of the problem, another way to resolve a problem is our online contact forms, within 30 days of completion of your tour. Keep in mind though, we can’t give you any practical help once your tour is completed.

If there is a genuine crisis or emergency, you can contact our ground service provider. We will provide the contact details of the agency upon completion of booking.

Itinerary changes: We update our itineraries based on previous travellers’ feedback and to adapt to any recent changes in each destination. We may further need to change the itineraries due to several factors such as weather, public holidays or local conditions. In addition, we might need to change the timing or the order of the activities to provide you with the best experience to adapt to the season you are travelling in. Your tour guide will update you with any changes once you have started your tour.

Optional activities: You will see a few optional activities on your itinerary. These activities are not all the activities that are offered locally. However, we have chosen the ones you might be interested in. Please remember that if you decide to participate any activity that is not listed as part of your itinerary, this is at your own risk and discretion.

Food: Turkish cuisine is rich and it includes a variety of foods. Keep in mind though at certain locations the options might be limited. Please let us know if you have special dietary requirements and we will do our best to cater to your needs.

Rooms: Please note that the standard booking for this tour includes accommodation in a twin shared room. We do our best to place with you with someone of the same gender unless you specify otherwise. All children up to age of 12 sleep in the same room with parent(s).

Children: All children older than 2 get their own seat during transportation. Please note that we do not provide car seat but we can try to organise a hired one for you if you require. Please let us know prior to booking. Please bear in mind that a big part of your tour is not suitable for pram and there may not be changing facilities at each location. If you require any assistance please speak to your tour guide.

Cultural awareness: During the day 2,3 and 4 of this tour you may not be able to purchase alcohol at the restaurants or hotels. However, you there will be shops that sell alcohol. If you would like to consume alcohol during those days, please speak with your tour guide and he can assist you. When you are visiting praying places such as mosques or churches please keep in mind that it is a sign of respect to cover shoulders and knees and hair (for women only). If you are unsure about anything regarding the culture and customs of the region please speak to your tour guide who will help you.

Passport and visas: As a general rule we recommend that your passport is valid for at least 6 months. Also, your name on your passport must match the name on your booking. Your passport details are required to finalise your booking. You will be contacted when this is required. We also recommend that you take a copy of your important documents with you and leave a copy back at home. Turkey requires a visa from most countries and Georgia does not require a visa for citizens of most countries however, please remember that it is your responsibility to check that you can enter any country that is listed in the itinerary.

Crossing the border to Georgia: This tour covers 2 countries: Turkey and Georgia. We have made room in the itinerary for potential waiting lines at the border. However, please remember that we have no control over the processing time or the length of the line at the passport check points.

Safety and travel insurance: We recommend that you check your government’s advice for their latest information on travelling in Turkey before your departure and ensure that your travel insurance covers you for all areas of your itinerary. You are required to have travel insurance to join this tour and we will ask you to provide details of it before your tour begins.

Feedback: Once you have completed your travel, we would love to hear your feedback as it helps us to grow and learn and make the experience even better each time.

What do I need to bring?

Money: We recommend to follow the classic travel advice: take half of the clothes and double the amount of money you were planning to bring. Most places has eftpos and you will have access to ATMs in main cities but some places don’t have either so make sure that you carry cash with you and think of how much you might spend on shopping, meals or any extra activities. Please let us know if you have any specific questions on this topic. Lunch costs around AUD $10-15 depending on where you eat but you will have the opportunity to shop and make your own lunch if you wish to do so, ask your guide and they will help you.

Clothes and other items: Try to pack light for this trip to make it easy to carry your luggage in and out of the car and into your accommodation. This tour is booked on different times of the year. Please check the usual weather for the region during the season you are travelling. Please keep in mind that at times your accommodation in the mountains may have problems with heating so have an extra layer ready for night times during cooler seasons.

Especially in the mountains, the weather can be unpredictable so please bring:
sunhats, sunscreen, raincoat , water resistant covers for your electronic devices, water resistant comfortable shoes, swimwear, a medium size backpack to take with you during the day to carry your personal belongings. We also recommend that you bring extra pair of socks and a change of top for days 2-5 in your backpack.
